FFA Creed. The Creed was written by E.M. Tiffany. It was adopted at the third National Convention of the FFA and revised at the 38th and 63rd conventions to reflect changes in FFA members and the agricultural industry

I Beleive in the future of agriculture with a faith born not of words but of deeds, achievments won by the present and past generations of agriculturalists. in the promis of better days through better ways. even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years

I beleive that to live and work on a good farm or to be engaged in other agricultural pursuits is pleasent as well as challenging, for i know the joys and discomforts of agriculture life, and hold an inborn fondness for those associaations, which even in hours of discouragment i cannot deny.

I beleive in leadership from ourselves and respect from others, i believe in my own ability to work efficiently and think cleary with such knowledge and skill as i can secure, and in the ability of progressive agriculturalists to serve our own and the public interest in producing and marketing the product of our toil.

I beleive in less dependance in begging and more power in bargaining, in the life abundant and enough honest wealth to help make it so, for others as well as myself, in less need for charity and more of it when needed, in being happy myself and playing square with those whose happiness bepends on me

I beleive that american agriculture can and will hold true to the best traditions of our national life, and that i can exert an influence on my jome and commuinty witch  will stand solid for my part in that inspiring task.

For the FFA creed speaking compettion, those five paragraphs to the left, have to be memorized, which in fact i did. you also have to talk in front of 3 judges. you must do it with hand motions and a few steps between every paragraph.SPEAK CLEARLY AND SLOWLY.  at the end of your speaking each judge asks 1 questions, and you must answer that question with no hesitation. for example:

judge: In paragraph 4 you stated that you beleive in less need for chairty and more if when needed, what to me mean by that?
(With NO hesitation)

Me: What i mean by less need for chairty and more of when needed, is that we cant always depend on chairty to help us out all the time. if a disaster strikes, then we need the chairty to help out.

That was one of my questions that i had when i did the speaking. you have to answer, restating the question, then giving your answer. make sure you explain your answer. Of course when i said the answer i did more detail with examples. but i didnt want to talk up this whole thing with my answer. that was just the main point of my answer.
